नए शोध अध्ययन में पता चला है मौर्य काल और नंद वंश के समय आर्य नही थे. फिर तथागत बुद्ध के समय आर्यों के होने का सवाल कैसे उठता है. हम अक्सर सुनते पढ़ते आ रहे हैं बुद्ध ने ब्राह्मणों का और उनकी परंपरा का विरोध किया. यह गलत इतिहास है. विज्ञान की तरह इतिहास में भी नए शोध होते रहता है. नई जानकारी बताती है तथागत बुद्ध के समय ब्राह्मण नही थे. बुद्ध का जन्म बौद्घ सभ्यता में हुआ था. डॉ राजेंद्र प्रसाद सिंह का कहना है : जहाँ यज्ञ होगा, वहीं बलि- प्रथा होगी, जरूरी नहीं है. बाली प्रथा : केल्ट, स्लाविक और जर्मैनिक लोगों में थी. क्या ये सभी लोग यज्ञ कर रहे थे. बलि की परंपरा मेसोपोटामिया, फोनीशिया, अफ्रीका में थी. क्या ये सभी देश यज्ञ कर रहे थे. भारत के अनेक आदिम समाज में, ट्राइब्स में, यहां तक कि सिंधु घाटी की सभ्यता के सीलों पर बलि का दृश्यांकन है. क्या ये सभी यज्ञ कर रहे थे ? बुद्ध ने बौद्ध सभ्यता में बलि प्रथा का विरोध किया. जीव हिंसा का विरोध किया, इसका यह बिल्कुल भी मतलब नहीं है कि वे वैदिक यज्ञ या ब्राह्मणों का विरोध कर रहे थे. ये अग्नि - होम वाला वैदिक यज्ञ, जिसे अवेस्ता में यश्न कहा गया है, बुद्ध के बाद भारत में आया है. New research has revealed that there were no Aryans during the Maurya period and the Nanda dynasty. Then how does the question of the existence of Aryans during the time of Tathagata Buddha arise? We often hear and read that Buddha opposed the Brahmins and their traditions. This is wrong history. Like science, new research keeps happening in history too. New information tells us that there were no Brahmins during the time of Tathagata Buddha. Buddha was born in the Buddhist civilization. Dr. Rajendra Prasad Singh says: It is not necessary that wherever there is a yagya, there will be the practice of sacrifice. Bali Pratha: It was prevalent among Celts, Slavic and Germanic people. Were all these people performing Yagya? The tradition of sacrifice was prevalent in Mesopotamia, Phoenicia, Africa. Were all these countries performing Yagya? There are depictions of sacrifice in many primitive societies of India, in tribes, even on the seals of the Indus Valley civilization. Were all of them performing yajnas? Buddha opposed the practice of sacrifice in Buddhist civilization. He opposed violence against living beings, but this does not at all mean that he was opposing Vedic Yagya or Brahmins. This Vedic sacrifice with fire-homa, called Yasna in the Avesta, came to India after Buddha.
