This training focuses on preventing hospital-acquired infections and controlling the spread of pathogens. Key topics covered in an IPC training include:
✅ Hand hygiene and disinfection – Proper techniques and protocols to minimize infection transmission.
✅ Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – When and how to use gloves, masks, gowns, and eye protection.
✅ Isolation precautions – Different isolation protocols (e.g., contact, droplet, and airborne precautions).
✅ Cleaning and disinfection – Proper cleaning of medical equipment and patient rooms.
✅ Antimicrobial resistance – Understanding resistant bacteria such as MRSA and how to manage them.
✅ Safe handling of sharps and needles – Preventing needlestick injuries and infections.
✅ Outbreak management – How hospitals control and contain infectious disease outbreaks.
These trainings are essential for healthcare workers, including nurses, doctors, cleaning staff, and laboratory personnel. _Lion Heart: Healing with Heart_
