Exercise during pregnancy has many benefits, both for the mother and the baby. Here are the main reasons why it is good:
*For the mother:*
✔ Fewer pregnancy symptoms – Regular exercise can help with back pain, constipation, swollen feet and fatigue.
✔ Better fitness and strength – This helps with the delivery and recovery afterwards.
✔ Less stress and better sleep – Exercise helps with stress and insomnia, which are common during pregnancy.
✔ Healthy weight – It helps prevent excessive weight gain.
✔ Reduces the risk of gestational diabetes and high blood pressure – This can reduce complications.
*For the baby:*
✔ Better blood flow to the placenta – This provides more oxygen and nutrients to the baby.
✔ Healthier start – Babies of active mothers often have a healthier birth weight and a better heart rate.
That is why the pregnant women dance and sing every Wednesday in our Medical Centre. This is to make the patient Exercise and by doing this the midwife have to make them sing 🎤 and dance.
