After our commissioning programme at the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), I attended the closing ceremony organised by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) after its 5-day capacity building training on Advance Passenger Information (API) and Passenger Name Record (PNR) data for national security and law enforcement. The training equipped officers with the skills to analyse API/PNR data in line with our vision to enhance national security and law enforcement capabilities. Technically, the new experience and expertise will enable our officers to better identify and prevent potential security threats in our quest to ensure a safer Nigeria.
