YOU ARE WONDERFULLY MADE "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." – Psalm 139:14 (NIV) Psalm 139 is a powerful reminder that we are not accidents — we are intentionally crafted by the hands of God. David’s words reflect awe and gratitude for the way God has intricately designed each of us. Being fearfully and wonderfully made means that God created us with purpose, care, and divine precision. Every detail of our being (our abilities, personalities, and even our perceived flaws) was formed by a loving Creator who makes no mistakes. In a world that constantly pressures us to fit into certain standards of beauty, success, or worth, this verse reassures us that our value is not defined by human opinions but by God’s handiwork. His creation is wonderful, and that includes you. Your uniqueness is a reflection of His creativity, and no part of you is without significance. Even when you feel unseen or unworthy, God sees you as His masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10). God’s intentional design extends beyond our physical appearance. He formed our hearts, minds, and souls with purpose. He knows our thoughts, our struggles, and our deepest desires (Psalm 139:1-3). Before we were born, He had already written our days in His book (Psalm 139:16). This truth should give us confidence — our existence is not random, and our lives are meaningful in His plan. Understanding that we are wonderfully made also calls us to honor and steward our bodies, minds, and gifts. Instead of comparing ourselves to others or striving to be someone we’re not, we can embrace who God created us to be. It also reminds us to see others as His wonderful creation, treating them with love, respect, and kindness. Our greatest worth is found in Christ. We are not just wonderfully made; we are redeemed and loved beyond measure. Jesus came to restore our identity in God and to show us our true value (Romans 5:8). When we see ourselves through His eyes, we can live with confidence, purpose, and joy, knowing that we are cherished by our Creator. Meditate! Do I truly believe that I am fearfully and wonderfully made, or have I allowed the world’s standards to define my worth? Pray! Lord, thank You for creating me with intention and purpose. Help me to embrace who I am in You and to see myself through Your eyes. Let my life reflect Your beauty and love. Amen. Act! Affirm God’s truth over your life today. Write down Psalm 139:14 and personalize it as a declaration: “I am fearfully and wonderfully made. God’s works are wonderful, and I am one of them.” Also, encourage someone else today by reminding them of their worth in Christ. Read! Ephesians 2:10, Jeremiah 1:5, Isaiah 64:8, Matthew 10:30-31, Romans 5:8. You are not a mistake. You are God’s masterpiece, created with love, purpose, and divine intention. Walk confidently in the truth that you are wonderfully made! SpiritWord × February 08, 2025 (C) Oluremi. OmuAjose, Ijebu. = Thank you for receiving The Word.
