*GOD’S EVERLASTING LOVE NEVER FAILS*
"The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: 'I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.'" – Jeremiah 31:3 (NIV)
God’s love is not temporary or conditional, it is everlasting! From the beginning of time, He has set His love upon His people, not because of anything we have done, but because of who He is. His love is not based on our performance, emotions, or circumstances; it is an unchanging, unwavering commitment to us. Even when we fall short, He remains faithful.
Unlike human love, which can fade, disappoint, or be influenced by circumstances, God’s love is eternal. He loves us at our best and at our worst. In seasons of joy and in moments of failure, His love does not waver. It is this unshakable love that gives us security and confidence in Him. No matter what happens in life, we can rest in the assurance that God will never abandon or stop loving us (Romans 8:38-39).
God’s love is also a pursuing love. Jeremiah 31:3 says He has "drawn us with unfailing kindness." This means God actively reaches out to us, even when we stray. Like the father in the parable of the prodigal son, He is always ready to welcome us back with open arms (Luke 15:20). His love is not passive; it calls us, draws us, and seeks to bring us into a deeper relationship with Him.
Knowing that God’s love never fails should transform how we live. When we truly grasp the depth of His love, fear loses its grip, self-doubt fades, and striving for approval ceases. We are fully known and fully loved. His love frees us to love others selflessly, to forgive without hesitation, and to walk in the confidence that we are cherished by the Creator of the universe.
Meditate! Do I truly believe that God’s love for me is everlasting, or do I sometimes question it based on my circumstances?
Pray! Lord, thank You for Your everlasting love that never fails. Help me to trust in Your love even when I don’t feel worthy. Let this truth shape my heart, my choices, and my relationships. Amen.
Act! Remind yourself today that you are deeply loved by God. Let this truth impact the way you see yourself and others. Share His love through a kind word, a thoughtful action, or an act of forgiveness.
Read! Romans 8:38-39, Isaiah 54:10, Psalm 136:26, 1 John 4:9-10, Luke 15:20.
God’s love is the one thing you can always count on. It is eternal, unshakable, and unfailing. Let it be the foundation of your life!
