I gave both of our passports and i797s to the officer. The only question she asked was if both of us were on separate H1Bs (yes) . Feb 15 Please help to explain process at asc & consulate(any useful info to others) ? - All the lines move really fast, from ASC for fingerprinting, then consulate for the interview and ASC again for passport pickup. We had a 14 month old with us and he did good as well. Please help to explain process for passport pickup from asc or consulate or DHL etc., (Any other observations about DHL) ? - We forgot to ask for expedited pickup after. TIP: Please ask for pink slip , makes things a lot easier. - ⁠My wife got status changed to ISSUED 2 days after, and mine 3 days after the interview. Remember the earliest you can schedule to pickup after the status changes to ISSUED is 2 days after that afternoon. That’s why it’s good to get the expedited pickup i think to save you the headache. - ⁠Jorge actually made the early pickup possible so that we could make the return flight.
