On this 33rd World Day of the Sick, the Holy Father gives us three important words: encounter, gift, sharing. He invites us to encourage the sick to use their pain as the opportunity to encounter the Lord, and recognize that suffering is a gift that draws us closer to God. We are also called to share in the struggle of the sick and experience God’s love in turn.
