SYNOPSIS:
Moderate to locally fresh winds and seas will continue across the Cayman area through tomorrow morning as a high-pressure system remains over the southeast United States. A slight increase in winds and seas are expected thereafter as the aforementioned high-pressure moves into the western Atlantic Ocean and strengthens the pressure gradient across our area. Radar images show scattered showers in and around the Grand Cayman area moving towards the west.
FORECAST:
Tonight: Partly cloudy skies with a 20% chance of showers. Temperatures will fall to the mid 70’s °F. Winds will be east to northeast at 10 to 15 knots with higher gusts. Seas will be moderate to rough with wave heights of 4 to 6 feet.
Tomorrow: Partly cloudy skies becoming cloudy at times with a 30% chance of early morning showers. Temperatures will rise to the mid 80’s °F. Winds will be east to northeast at 15 to 20 knots. Seas will be rough with wave heights of 5 to 7 feet. Small crafts should exercise caution over the open seas.
