February 20, 2025 A Path That Seems Right, But Leads to Destruction Proverbs 16:25 "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end, it leads to death." This verse serves as a warning to us all. It reminds us that our own understanding and perceptions can be deceiving. What may seem like the right path, the easy way out, or the most appealing option can ultimately lead to destruction. In our walk with God, it's essential to recognize that our ways are not His ways. Our thoughts are not His thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). We must be careful not to rely solely on our own understanding, but instead, seek God's guidance and wisdom. This verse also reminds us of the importance of seeking counsel from God's Word and from wise and godly advisors. Proverbs 11:14 says, "For lack of guidance a people falls, but victory is won through many advisors." As we navigate the challenges and decisions of life, let's remember to seek God's wisdom and guidance. Let's be willing to surrender our own understanding and ways to Him, trusting that His paths are always best, even when they don't seem to make sense to us. _Prayer:_ Dear Heavenly Father, help me to recognize the limitations of my own understanding and to seek Your wisdom and guidance in all things.
