God is Still at Work:
You're Not Abandoned.
Philippians 1:6 "Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
As believers, we can have confidence that God is at work in our lives, transforming us into the image of His Son, Jesus Christ. This verse reminds us that God's work in us is a lifelong process, one that He will complete until the day of Christ Jesus.
The phrase "he who began a good work in you" refers to God's initial work of salvation in our lives. When we put our faith in Jesus Christ, God began a good work in us, giving us new life and a new identity as His children.
The phrase "will carry it on to completion" reminds us that God's work in us is not yet finished. He is continually working in us, transforming us, and conforming us to the image of His Son.
As you reflect on this verse, consider the following:
- What is God's good work in your life? How has He transformed you and conformed you to the image of His Son?
- Are you trusting God to complete His good work in you, or are you trying to take control of the process?
- Remember that God's work in you is a lifelong process. He will continue to transform and conform you to the image of His Son until the day of Christ Jesus.
_Prayer:_
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the good work that You began in me. I trust that You will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Help me to surrender to Your transforming power and to trust in Your goodness. In Jesus' name, Amen.
