Scars tell stories—and hers is one of survival, strength, and love.
Eight months ago, a devastating fire changed everything for Navkirat Sodhi and her husband, designer Gaurav Gupta. With 55% of her body burned and only a 50% chance of survival, Navkirat spent 2.5 months in the ICU, fighting for her life.
But she didn’t just survive—she rose from the ashes like a phoenix.
At Paris Fashion Week 2025, Navkirat walked the runway as the muse of Gaurav’s collection, ‘Across the Fire’—a tribute to love, resilience, and transformation. Dressed in an ivory corset gown, she wore her scars like armour, owning her story with every step.
Gaurav’s collection reflected this journey of healing, with colours symbolising burns, bruises, and rebirth — from black to purple, and purple to blue.
A wedding gown in the show represented Navkirat’s body wrapped in bandages, a powerful reminder of her fight and survival.
From tragedy to triumph, Navkirat and Gaurav have redefined beauty, love, and strength—proving that resilience shines brighter than fire.
