79 & Back in Class! At an age when most people slow down, Usha Ray hit the accelerator! A two-time stage-four cancer survivor, she made an incredible comeback—not just in life but in academics too. "My reincarnation started in April 2023 when, all of a sudden, I thought, ‘I’ll do an MBA’—nearly 45 years after I last studied," she shared with DPU COL. With no prior experience in technology, she stepped back into the classroom, enrolling in an MBA in Healthcare Management. From struggling to use a laptop to excelling in her studies, she refused to let obstacles hold her back. "I didn’t know how to use a laptop, but I bought one anyway. I practiced, and I’m still learning—but I wasn’t going to let that stop my classes," she told TNIE. A former teacher with degrees in Zoology (1966) and Education (1978), Usha’s journey hasn’t been easy—she battled cancer twice, first in 2003 and again in 2022. But she emerged stronger, proving that age is just a number when it comes to learning and growing. And her message to the world? “If I can do it at 80, why can’t you?” Tag someone who needs this inspiration today! #nevertoolate #inspiration #cancersurvivor #education #motivation [Usha Ray, Cancer survivor, Healthcare management, Education, Inspirational journey, Women empowerment]
