"I can't say this about any other country in the world, but I've never eaten badly in India. I've always eaten deliciously well, which tells you a lot about India. And that's why it's my favourite country in the world. Because when you go to a country and the food's not great, you don't want to go back there. Food's very important—or should I say deliciously important." – Chef Marco Pierre White shared with Lifestyle Insider. The legendary chef, who is the youngest to earn three Michelin stars, has visited India multiple times, and his love for our cuisine only grows stronger. What makes Indian food truly special? For Marco, it’s the unparalleled mastery of spices. “Indian cuisine is without question one of the greatest cuisines of the world. There are very few countries, if any, that understand how to use spices like the Indians do,” he shared with CNT. So much so, he calls Indian food deliciously important! His words are a testament to the magic of Indian food — From bustling street food stalls to home-cooked meals, Indian flavours are unmatched—rich, bold, and deeply rooted in tradition. No wonder he keeps coming back for more! What's the best street food you've had in India?
