It is something which prevents you from reaching your full potential or goal. It is a barrier that says you cannot go beyond here. A typical example was Gideon, a man called by God to be a mighty man of valor, a great warrior, a great leader, a great deliverer to Israel, yet he was living as a common peasant farmer. Beloved, limitations can change your life and reduce it to nothing. Are you living far below your God-given destiny? Limitations can be found in any aspect of our lives; marriage, finances, spiritual walk, education, relationship, health, job and ministry, just to mention a few. Some people can be limited in one area of their lives and be free in the other. The Bible said the man in the synagogue had one of his hands withered, meaning weak and inactive, while the other hand was strong and active. Some people can be limited in many areas, but one thing I know is that the power of Jesus Christ can break every limitation and cause you to reach your fullness, Amen! What is the cause of limitation? Unwillingness to yield fully to God or know him is the first and major cause of limitation. The Bible says, “Those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits (meaning great things). The worst thing ever is to pretend to know God while you don’t follow his ways. Spiritual attacks; the enemy willfully attacks some people so that nothing meaningful comes out of their lives. Generational curses. We dealt with that two days ago but you can go back and read it. Lack of direction; the Bible says, “My people perish for lack of vision”; vision here does not talk only about prophetic, but also being led by God to walk in his plans for your life, Amen! Sin. God cannot be with you as long as you are living a life of sin. The destiny of man is a progressive destiny, however certain forces arises to hinder the flow of progress in life. One of these forces is the spirit of limitation. This spirit makes one’s life to be restricted, resisted and restrained. It delays destinies from getting to their ordained expected place. It is a force that must be broken out from if you will fulfill destiny in grand style. It makes life to perform below capacity and frustrates people from being all they could be. If you don’t break out of the yoke of limitation, you can never get to where God has designed for you to get to and thereby not enjoying all that has been prepared for your destiny.
