Examples of vegetative reproduction in plants: Tuber, Rhizome and Stolon 🌿
Vegetative reproduction is an asexual method used by many plants to propagate without the need for seeds.
✅ Tubers, such as in the potato 🥔, are thickened underground stems that store nutrients and can generate new plants from their buds.
✅ Rhizomes, such as in the lily 🌸, are horizontal underground stems that grow and form new plants at different points.
✅ Stolons, such as in the strawberry 🍓, are creeping stems that extend along the surface of the soil, generating new plants where roots form.
These mechanisms not only ensure the survival of the species in their environment, but also allow farmers and producers to take advantage of efficient propagation techniques to obtain new plants in a faster and more controlled manner. 🌿🌍
