*5-day Daily Devotional* The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Without it, we lack protection, conviction, and true reverence for God. Revival requires surrender and holiness. Let's rediscover awe for God, reject 'Christian sins,' and pursue a deeper walk with Him. Our desire for more of God requires more from us. *Day 1: The Fear of the Lord* Reading: Proverbs 1:7, Proverbs 9:10, Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 Devotional: The fear of the Lord is a central theme in wisdom literature. It's not about being afraid of God, but rather having a deep reverence and awe for Him. This reverence is the foundation of true wisdom and knowledge. As we read in Ecclesiastes, fearing God and keeping His commandments is "the whole duty of man." Today, reflect on your own attitude towards God. Do you approach Him with casual familiarity or with reverent awe? How might cultivating a healthy fear of the Lord change your daily decisions and actions? Ask God to instill in you a proper reverence for His holiness and majesty. *Day 2: God's Love and Holiness* Reading: 1 John 4:7-21, Isaiah 6:1-7 Devotional: God's love and holiness are not contradictory attributes, but complementary ones. His love is pure and perfect because He is holy. Isaiah's vision of God's holiness led him to recognize his own sinfulness, yet God's love provided cleansing. Similarly, John reminds us that God's perfect love casts out fear. Today, meditate on how God's love and holiness work together in your life. How does His holiness challenge you to live differently? How does His love give you confidence to approach Him despite your shortcomings? Thank God for being both perfectly holy and perfectly loving. *Day 3: The Grace of God* Reading: Ephesians 2:1-10, Titus 2:11-14 Devotional: Grace is God's unmerited favor towards us. It's not just forgiveness, but empowerment to live holy lives. Paul reminds us that we are saved by grace through faith, not by our own works. Yet this same grace teaches us to say "no" to ungodliness and to live upright lives. Reflect on how you've experienced God's grace. Are you living in a way that demonstrates gratitude for this gift? Ask God to help you fully embrace His grace, both in receiving forgiveness and in pursuing holiness. *Day 4: Divine Judgment and Mercy* Reading: Romans 2:1-11, James 2:12-13 Devotional: The reality of divine judgment is a sobering truth, yet it's always balanced with God's mercy. Paul warns against hypocrisy in judgment, reminding us that God will judge everyone impartially. James encourages us to speak and act as those who will be judged by the "law of liberty," emphasizing that mercy triumphs over judgment. Consider areas in your life where you might be judgmental towards others. How can you extend the same mercy to others that God has shown you? Pray for a heart that balances truth and love, justice and mercy. *Day 5: Encountering God's Presence* Reading: Exodus 3:1-6, Revelation 1:12-18 Devotional: Encounters with God's presence are transformative experiences. Moses encountered God in the burning bush and was called to lead Israel. John's vision of the glorified Christ on Patmos left him "as though dead." These encounters reveal God's glory and our own inadequacy, yet they also empower us for service. Reflect on times when you've sensed God's presence strongly. How did it change you? Ask God to make you more aware of His presence daily and to be open to His transforming work in your life.
