Ngwathe Local Municipality Parys 15 February 2025 To: RESIDENTS AND MEDIA STAKEHOLDERS RE: Public Notice regarding water distribution/shortage! This communique serves to remind residents that, due to an ongoing refurbishment project at the Parys water plant, currently, the other portions of the plant are out of operation due to this refurbishment. As a result, the purification process is unable to meet the required water demand, as the team is only able to abstract less water from the river for production and distribution purposes. Residents who are currently receiving water are kindly requested to use water sparingly [Don't water gardens] until the project is complete and report any incident of water leaks to their respective Councillors immediately. Municipality sends a word of apology for any inconvenience this may cause and requests residents to be patient during the project process. Thank you for your attention to this important matter!
