And now, take modern society. The rise of the modern world is the historical equivalent of a vertical straight line. The technological leaps are basically a second renaissance (actually this would be underselling modernisation). But, we might be soon reaching (or even already pasted it) the peak of this advancement. And we’re just waiting for the next big fall. So far, the global community has managed to stave off a general global collapse. But global meltdowns like COVID are just the start. Aside from the literal meltdown of the globe, political instability is rising once again and economic growth is slumping.
