*Dear Customers,* Starting *January 1, 2025*, there’s a big change for e-commerce sellers shipping to Switzerland. If you sell over *CHF 100,000 annually* to Swiss customers, you’ll need to follow new VAT rules. *What’s Changing?* 1. *Platform Responsibility:* E-commerce platforms (like Amazon) will now handle VAT collection and remittance for sales to Swiss buyers. 2. *Swiss VAT Registration:* Foreign platforms must register for Swiss VAT and may need a *Swiss fiscal representative*. 3. *Invoice Requirements:* Invoices must clearly show: - *Shipper:* Foreign seller’s address. - *Importer:* Platform’s name, fiscal representative’s details, and VAT number. - *Recipient:* Swiss buyer’s address. - A note like: *“Sales transaction through [platform name]. VAT collected by the platform.”* *What Should You Do?* - Ensure your invoices meet the new requirements. - Check if your platform is registered for Swiss VAT. - If you’re a platform operator, confirm if you need a fiscal representative. *Need Help?* For more details, visit: - [Swiss VAT for Electronic Platforms](https://www.estv.admin.ch) - [VAT Updates](https://www.estv.admin.ch) Thank you for your attention! *AICS*
