🏗️ *Help Complete A Masjid Striving To Uphold The Sunnah!* 📍 Lokoja, Kogi State, Nigeria In region a where the people of Sunnah have no masjid to call their own, Masjid Ibn Uthaimīn, located in Lokoja, Kogi State, Nigeria is a vital project aimed at providing a place of worship, learning, and Daʾwah for the Muslim community. For over three years construction has been ongoing, and by the Tawfīq of Allāh سبحانه وتعالى much progress has been made. However, much remains to be done. 🌟 *Why This Masjid is Needed?* ✅ A Community Without a Masjid: Muslims in this area struggle to find a place for prayer. The few Masājid available are either locked or controlled by groups that restrict propagation of the Sunnah. ✅ A Home for the People of Sunnah: Salafī brothers striving to spread authentic Sunnah face expulsion out of Masājid and institutions owned by sectarian groups or commoners who are in opposition to the Sunnah. ✅ The region is heavily influenced by Sufism, and Salafiyyah is seen as “strange.” This Masjid will work hard – in-shāʾ-Allāh – to invite the local community to Islām and the Sunnah as understood and practiced by the early generations!
