I want you to see something here: Mark 1:14 "Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God" Do you see that family problems did not stop Jesus from going to preach the Gospel? John the baptist was a cousin of Jesus according to the flesh. When he was put in prison, Jesus didn't worry about it, He rather went to Galilee to preach the Word there. I don't know your family problems but don't let them to stop you from serving God. In Luke 9:59-60 we read, "And He said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. 60. Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God." Jesus didn't let his disciples to allow family problems to stall the propagation of the Gospel. He recognized the problems, Yes, but he went on to do God's work in face of all those problems. Here, He told a guy who had just lost his father to ignore it and to focus on preaching the Gospel. This shows you how important the preaching of the Gospel is over family problems. Unfortunately, today's believers are not serious with God's work so much that they can choose to miss the church service because of a visitor who visited them from the rural areas. When are going to learn that God's kingdom comes first and all others last ?
