It is ethically inappropriate to bring in HR interns under the pretense of assisting them in meeting their academic requirements, when in reality, the intention is to address a staffing shortage in the HR department without proper compensation. Such practices can be considered exploitative. Internships should be designed to provide educational and professional development opportunities for interns while offering support to the organization. It is essential that companies ensure internships are mutually beneficial by providing meaningful training and mentorship, along with fair compensation for the interns' contributions.
