Come closer and listen. Jesus had a similar experience but He wasn't deterred. His kinsmen said "is this not the son of a carpenter?" 𝘚𝘦𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩 didn't allow them to believe in His gift and message. He didn't allow that to distract him, rather he went all out to other cities. One of the major reasons why you're still stucked is because you care a whole lot about other people's opinion. I mean you dread being criticised or judged. Oprah Winfrey and Schwarzenegger had similar experiences also. For Oprah, they told her that she was unfit for television news but today she's one the richest black women in the world. Arnold Schwarzenegger was rejected severally because of his accent but he didn't allow that to discourage him. For you it maybe that you have damn whatever thing anyone would say and break free from that relationship that is draining you emotionally no matter how long you have been in it. It may also be you have switched career not minding the backlash you may receive from family and friends. You have to break from the fear of the unknown...from the fear of what the people will say. It was John Obidi who said "Sometimes people who love you will genuinely try to protect you from your destiny. Appreciate their intent but honour your path" Yeah, because you may suffer some setbacks from family and friends. They may try to dissuade you from pursuing your dreams by saying all kinds of things to you. Appreciate their intent but honour your path. Don't allow them to instil doubt in you. You can't afford to remain in your cage, come out of your shell and be visible. You're a city built on a hill. Talk about your giftings and abilities. The time is now. Stop saying you're a shy person. That ain't gonna help you. It is my wish that you realise that the fear of what people will say has a greater impact on your financial well-being than a weak economy or financial downturns. To achieve your dreams, it is important you overcome fear and criticism. If you are afraid of public scrutiny, you will never make progress! © Alexander Nwobodo
