Prominent Afghan businessman Mirwais Azizi, founder of Azizi Group, has unveiled an ambitious five-year, $10 billion investment plan for Afghanistan, with a primary focus on the energy sector. During his visit to the country, Azizi inaugurated the construction of a $500 million medical complex, which will span 350 acres and include a 400-bed cancer hospital, a 200-bed maternity hospital, a medical university, a nursing institute, a student dormitory, an orphanage, and housing for doctors. As part of his investment plan, the first major project—a solar power plant generating 200 MW for Kabul—is set to begin soon and is expected to be completed within eight months. #rta
