Your brain consists of about 75-80%, which means that it needs proper hydration to function efficiently. When you don’t drink enough water, this is what happens :
-Blood flow to the brain reduces and thus can decrease oxygen and nutrient supply.
-Hormone levels may fluctuate,and lead to irritability, anxiety, and stress.
-Electrolyte imbalances can disrupt nerve signals, making you feel foggy and sluggish.
How Does It Cause Brain Fog & Cognitive Decline?
Mild dehydration can cause:
- Poor concentration & slower reaction times
-Memory lapses & difficulty focusing on task
-Increased fatigue and headaches
Stay Hydrated, Stay Sharp!
-Drink at least 6-8 glasses of water daily, and drink more if you sweat a lot.
-Don't wait until you're thirsty.
-Eat water-rich fruits like cucumbers, oranges, and watermelon.
