We want to let you know about two changes to our Board of Trustees, which are effective immediately.
Joanne Murray, who has served as a trustee since 2021 when we officially became a charity, will step down with immediate effect.
Joanne's ill health has caused Joanne to re-think her position within the Charity and has decided its time for her to now concentrate on her own health and to step down from the position.
We are very grateful to Joanne for her incredible work over the last four years. She has been generous with her time in supporting FibroSupport-Wales and has been a powerful advocate for those affected by fibromyalgia.
Steffan McMahon, founder of FibroSupport-Wales, said: ‘I would like to thank Joanne for being a fantastic ambassador for our charity during her time as a trustee, she has been an important voice for those people impacted by Fibromyalgia and has also been a great advocate for better treatment and care for people with the condition.’
We’re also pleased to welcome Michael Allessi-Richards, who has now joined the board of trustees. Michael has many ambitious ideas for our charity and also has a wealth of knowledge from previous job roles, which will be beneficial in his role as our new trustee. We wish Michael all the best in his development with FibroSupport-Wales.
