*Valentine's Day:* A Biblical Perspective Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, As we approach Valentine's Day, I want to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of love and how we can celebrate this holiday in a way that honors God. *The World's Definition of Love* The world often defines love as a feeling, an emotion, or a romantic attachment. While these aspects of love can be beautiful and meaningful, they can also be fleeting and self-centered. *God's Definition of Love* In contrast, the Bible defines love as a choice, a commitment, and a sacrifice. God's love for us is not based on our worthiness or attractiveness, but on His own character and nature (1 John 4:8-10). *Celebrating Valentine's Day Biblically* So, how can we celebrate Valentine's Day in a way that honors God? Here are a few suggestions: 1. *Focus on God's love*: Before celebrating romantic love, take time to reflect on God's love for you. Meditate on Scripture, pray, and worship Him. 2. *Show love to all*: Valentine's Day is not just about romantic love. Show appreciation and kindness to family members, friends, and neighbors. 3. *Practice selfless love*: Look for ways to serve and bless others, just as Christ has served and blessed us. 4. *Keep things in perspective*: Remember that romantic love is a gift from God, but it is not the ultimate source of fulfillment or happiness. *Conclusion* As we celebrate Valentine's Day, let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the ultimate expression of God's love. May our celebration be marked by a deeper appreciation for God's love, a broader expression of love to those around us, and a commitment to living out the selfless love of Christ. May God bless you and your loved ones this Valentine's Day. With love and appreciation, Small Church Pastor Pastor
