🌧️The latest accumulated rainfall forecast shows significant rainfall across South Africa until Sunday at 23:00, with widespread areas expecting between 50-100 mm of rain, especially over parts of KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, Gauteng, North West, Free State and Limpopo.
🌧️A cut-off low pressure system affecting western and central South Africa will drive heavy rain over these regions in the coming days, later weakening into an upper-air trough. This system is expected to bring 30-50mm of rainfall over parts of the Western Cape, Northern Cape, Eastern Cape and Free State, increasing the risk of localized flooding.
⚠️ The highest rainfall accumulations will be concentrated over the eastern and northeastern regions, where already saturated ground could lead to dangerous flooding conditions.
