Top of the Morning!!!!!!Day 2 of the SALGA Gauteng PEC Lekgotla. The objective of the Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) Strategic Planning Session is to: a) Reflect on the past year and progress made towards implementation of the current 2022 – 2027 SALGA Strategic Plan especially Reforms on the White Paper on Local Government Process and Progress to date. b) Reflect on the outcomes of the Governance Structures held in 2024 (PMAs, Joint Council of Mayors and Speakers, National Executive Committee Rotational Engagements with Municipalities, Working Groups, etc.) c) Reflect on key emerging issues that affect local government and how stakeholders view. SALGA’s role in responding to such issues. d) Reflect on the recent delisting of SALGA as a Schedule 3A entity, understand its implications and agree on a roadmap to full implementation. e) Frame the priority areas for the remainder of the term and the 2022 – 2027 Strategy f) Agree on the deliverables for the Annual Performance Plan 2025 – 2026. #inspiringservicedelivery
