What You’ll Do (The Highlights): Empower Students: Assist students and lecturers during practical modules, guiding them through the technical aspects of broadcasting and video production. Be the Tech Guru: Maintain and service the department’s broadcast equipment and training studios, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Support Creative Projects: Help students bring their audio-visual productions to life, offering technical expertise and support. Ensure Quality: Oversee quality control in the studio, during electronic field productions, and in post-production activities. Hands-on with Equipment: Install and operate broadcast equipment, keeping up with the latest technologies. Troubleshooting Master: Diagnose and resolve broadcast hardware and software problems. Policy Contributor: Assist in developing department policies for the proper handling and use of broadcast equipment. Liaison Extraordinaire: Connect with external service providers as needed. What You’ll Need (Your Qualifications): A first-class or 2:1 Honours Degree in Communication/Journalism/Media Studies/Film Studies/Graphic Design and Editing/Electronics/Telecoms. At least one year of experience in a broadcasting or video production environment. Experience in a tertiary education institution is a plus!
