Unrestrictedly Attaching Your Heart to a Woman Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله: “Whoever attaches their heart to creation-seeking aid, provision, or guidance-will inevitably surrender their heart to it. Their enslavement to creation will be in proportion to their dependence on it, even if they outwardly appear to be its master and provider. The truly intelligent person looks beyond appearances and sees reality as it is. If a man is deeply in love with a woman, even if she is permissible for him, his heart becomes captive to her. She holds power over him and can direct him as she pleases. Outwardly, he may seem to be her master by virtue of marriage, but in truth, he is her possession-especially if she knows the depth of his love, his desperation for her, and his belief that she is irreplaceable.
