*Bitumen World and R Davis: Two construction giants joining forces* R Davis was founded in 1959 as a plumbing company. It is now one of Zimbabwe’s biggest construction firms. Bitumen World, founded in 2012 by Andrew Zietsman, is one of the country’s largest civil engineering firms. The company - in which businessman Simon Rudland is a significant investor - has recently announced it was going regional. Both companies have a strong foothold in mining. Now, the two companies have announced they are coming together under BW Mining, whose scale will dwarf other contractors in an increasingly competitive market.
