Kin2 The Rapper — Recovery, Guidance To Overcome Addiction, Sobriety

Recovery has much to do with what you do to transmute the loneliness and boredom into solitude. This challenges most of us. It’s along this path of discovery where the greatest rewards are realized. Finding a balance in this area is worth putting all your effort into. Along it, one hits many walls. When you endure and persevere, a perfect balance is always realized. I am learning that a balance in this is best sought when you are resolute in doing Step 11. Step 11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve my conscious contact with Jesus (God as I understand Him), praying only for knowledge of His will for me and the power to carry that out. I’m learning that the best times to pray are those when feelings of loneliness or boredom kick in. I am learning that prayer fills in instances where the emptiness inside intensely gnaws at my soul. I have observed that it’s also along this path of discovery where the greatest mistakes are made. Ideally dealing with the guilt that arises from that is realized through prayer and meditation. Step 11 is where I let God talk back to me. In the other Steps, I talk to Him. I’m learning that God always has an answer for every pressing thing in my life. He cares much about every detail. Just as we care for every detail when it comes to those we love, He cares for every detail about us because He is Love. Peace is what that innate desire in us to escape seeks for. I’m learning that as I grow in prayer and meditation, I find peace and that innate desire in me to escape is stilled. For without Jesus (God as I understand Him), being sober would be impossible. 2 Corinthians 1:20; Amplified Bible, Classic Edition For as many as are the promises of God, they all find their Yes [answer] in Him [Christ].
