*The First Instruction!* Acts 1:6-11 KJV [6] When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? [7] And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. [8] But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. [9] And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. [10] And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; [11] which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. https://bible.com/bible/1/act.1.6-11.KJV For some years now has a member of the body of Christ, the church has had meetings and conferences and seminars and crusades and revivals where we talked and preached and teach on the Next Thing or Next Move or Next Revival or something sha to fancy our emotions and sentiments , something to make us or kickstart us to be doing something great and spectacular and supernatural and amazing and mind blowing for God on earth. Everything I just wrote here is actually to fulfill all spiritual righteousness not necessary God's specific purposes. It may look like it is and that that's what God wants us to do which in many ways are true if they are your specific purposes and assignments from God to you has a person but may not be for the general body of Christ.. We must all follow *The First Instruction* and nothing more nothing less. The Bible calls us " *God's Garden , God's temple,God's building,God's ambassadors and God's children , God's servants and many more"* . All this points is to one thing and one thing alone , " *we do not own ourselves and so can not dictate what we should be doing for ourselves by ourselves for the kingdom of God"* If we don't own ourselves then it means we are here for a specific purpose a specific assignment and just like an staff or military personnel, it's our common sense duty and responsibility to ask the person who we are to report to or is our boss what our primary assignment is so we do not go against constitutional authority which all of us are guilty of in God's kingdom. We do everything we can to please our earthly masters because of the pay check and the promotional values and opportunities we get for being a reliable worker and good employer of the month or year and yet we fail to carry such attitudes, dedication and commitment into our primary assignment in God's kingdom. So what is the church suppose to be doing at such a time has this has always been the big elephant questions we ask ourselves in meetings. We already know what and where the world is heading to in the next 50/ 1000yrs . But what is the church suppose to be done now and what is my role in that now ? This is our primary focus , purpose and assignments. This should be what every child of God who has eternity in sight and focus should be thinking of but sadly, it seems not to be so...Now for those who are thinking and asking this personal question and needing answers to that question, the answer my brother and sister is going in the manual.. Now instead of giving them a more clearer understanding of those things he told and showed them in Mathew 24/25, he backs down instead and gives them their first and primary assignment. He did that so that they being the first fruit of his resurrection and the foundation on which he was going to build the ministry, the body of Christ till he comes , the people who through all other revelation and doctrines and way of life and examples the others to come must follow, he was intentional in saying what he said so that they will not be distracted and be focused on the job ahead..He knew and understood their questions sbd could have right there and then giving them the answers to their questions which answers God through the Holy Spirit later gave and shared with apostle Paul and Peter and Jude and John the beloved..So it was not that Jesus did not have the answer to that question but felt there was a more better response to that question than the answer they desperately seek . Because it's that answer today that the Jews are fighting for and waiting for today for the Messiah to come and fulfill which president trump or any other USA president has not been able to fulfill but the Man of Peace will try and tried he did but did not last.. So what are we suppose to be doing right now ? Some say we are to occupy the 7 mountains of the world 1. Business 2. Education 3. Politics 4. Family 5. Media 6. Entertainment 7. Science and technology 🤔. I have tried to see where Jesus or the Holy Spirit or God gave us this instructions and I have not been able to find it. The teachings of the 7 mountains is actually gotten from the book of revelation but someone tried to coin it in such a beautiful way to make beautiful and logical sense which it did for a while. Again Jesus would have answered the question his disciples asked him but he weighed the answer against the purpose for the question against what God had instructed him to tell the disciples and instead of answering a question that will satisfy their emotions and sentiments he rather decided to give them God's primary assignment and purpose over what their flesh and emotions wanted at that time .Now we know the answer to that question but was it right and proper at that time ? No. So what is right and proper for us now that we have the answer to the question the disciples of Jesus asked him ?. For us now , we are to like the early disciples, return and focus and get all our attention on The First Instruction. The First Instruction is far more important than and now. Without The First Instruction, we as the body of Christ is useless on earth and just like a candle that can not provide light is useless and worthless and just as salt that can not sweeten the food is also useless and worthless, we too if we can not and are not fulfilling The First Instruction is useless and worthless to God. [15] And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. [16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. [17] And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; [18] they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. " To do The First Instruction '. Paul told Timothy: 2 Timothy 4:5 KJV [5] But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. https://bible.com/bible/1/2ti.4.5.KJV We are to do what Jesus who was sent by The Father who then sent us to do. We understand that in the body of Christ there are offices and functions and operations and duties. Romans 12:3-8 KJV [3] For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. [4] For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: [5] so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. [6] Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; [7] or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; [8] or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness. https://bible.com/bible/1/rom.12.3-8.KJV 1 Corinthians 12:27-29 KJV [27] Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. [28] And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. [29] Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? https://bible.com/bible/1/1co.12.27-29.KJV So you can see there is so much each and everyone of us can do in the body of Christ ( not talking about your local assembly) and the only Person who knows what we can do and were we each fit perfectly is our God and him alone. Everyone including your bishop and pastor and GO are also hoping and praying that they are doing what he told them to do and not what they are assuming he told them .So we are all to know specifically what He has called us to do because the night comes when no man can work and after that Judgment.. So what should the church be doing now , what should you and I be doing now that we have a good not yet perfect but good understanding of the times and seasons we are in right now ? Find your purpose and assignments in The First Instruction and Do It..Any other thing outside The First Instruction and your Specific purposes and assignments inside that First Instruction is worthless and useless before God. It's like an offering and sacrifice that sinks before him.. Even if you don't know what he wants you to do , simply go about doing the work of an evangelist. Preach the gospel in season and out of season. While asking and waiting for him to show and tell you what to do..He that is faithful in little things is faithful in much... In conclusion: if you don't see the next big move of God or revival or supernatural meetings or crusades or something, just simply go about doing the work of an evangelist..This is The First Instruction from God and all others fall under this First Instruction..
