White City is getting a Tiny Forest! Come and get involved! H&F's newest Tiny Forest is being installed in Norland Open Space on Friday 21 February – just around the corner from the Nourish Hub in #whitecity. 🌳 Join between 1pm to 3pm to help us plant 600 tiny trees. Each forest packs 600 native trees into an area the size of a tennis court, helping clean our air while providing homes for local wildlife. By planting trees densely – up to 3 per square metre – we create natural competition for light and resources. This makes the trees grow up to 5 times faster than normal, producing a mature forest in just 20 to 30 years instead of 100 to 200 years. As the forest develops, it becomes home to hundreds of animal and plant species, with up to 500 different species making it their home within just 3 years.
