*Mechanical Fitter* Geo Pomona Waste Management Expires 14 Feb 2025 Harare Full Time *Job Description* The incumbent will be responsible for Installations, testing, commissioning and maintenance of mechanical equipment for both plant in service as well as project works. *Duties and Responsibilities* • Performs installations, functionality tests, and performance tests of mechanical equipment. • Responds to faulty emergency and makes timely repairs. • Performs equipment condition monitoring, preventative and corrective maintenance. • Assists in raising requisition for the spare parts when the need arises. • Completes in detail, all issued work orders for assigned tasks. • Maintains records of equipment repairs, and tests. • Ensures compliance with statutory obligations as well as international best practice standards. • Complies with all Safety, Health, and Environmental regulations in area of responsibility. • Trains and supervises subordinates, apprentices, assistants and students. *Qualifications and Experience* 1. Education and Experience. • Minimum National Certificate in relevant trade. • Class 1 Skilled Worker Certificate. • 5 O’ Levels including Maths, and English. • At least 2 years post apprenticeship training. • Thermal power plant experience is added advantage. 2. Certifications • Clean Class 4 (four) driver’s licence is an added advantage. 3.
