H.H. Ndhlovu & Co. is a reputable law firm seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to manage our financial operations, including payroll, invoicing, statutory compliance, and account management. This role requires a professional experienced in handling law firm accounts, client funds, and regulatory requirements while ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial and tax laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Management: Process salaries, deductions, and statutory payments (PAYE, NHIMA, NAPSA).
Invoicing & Billing: Prepare and issue invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding accounts.
Financial Reporting & Account Management: Maintain financial records, reconcile bank statements, manage the firm’s partnership account and client trust accounts.
Statutory Compliance: Ensure timely filing and payment of ZRA taxes (PAYE, VAT, Withholding Tax) and regulatory contributions (NHIMA, NAPSA).
Budgeting & Advisory: Assist in financial planning, cost management, and profitability strategies.
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
ZICA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (or part-qualified) is an advantage.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting, preferably in a law firm.
Strong understanding of payroll processing, invoicing, tax compliance, and statutory obligations.
Experience in managing partnership accounts and client trust accounts is highly desirable.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Work Schedule & Compensation:
Part-time, flexible hours (to be agreed upon with the successful candidate).
