#ekadasi & VARAHA DEVA APPEARANCE REMINDER WITH TWO POSTS! Dear Devotees! Tomorrow (Saturday, 08.02.2025) will be #bhaimi_ekadasi. The fasting starts from around 06.37AM on Saturday, 08.02.2025 and you may end the fast on Sunday, 09.02.2025 between 06.37 and 10.32. Children below the age of 8, the elderly above 75 years, and those who have been advised by their doctors to abstain from fasting, do not feel sorry if they are unable to fast. They can take prasadam that is free from grains and pulses and also take fruits, vegetables, milk, grainless preparations, etc. as partial fast. Check for the change of dates and times from your local ISKCON centres or Local Vaishnava Calander. IMPORTANT NOTE: Usually, during this Bhaimi Ekadasi, three fasts fall continuously. But, it has been made as just one and a half day fast. Read below: On ekadasi, ie, 08.02.2025, there will be ekadasi fast. Varaha dev appearance day falls on the next day of ekadasi, ie, on 09.02.2025 for which we have to observe half day fast. However, it will be very difficult for fasting for 36 hours. Therefore, the fast of Varaha Appearance day is clubbed with the usual Ekadasi fast itself as Partial fasting with no-grain prasadam till you break the Ekadasi fast. So, No fasting is necessary on 09.02.2025. Another fast is there. Again fast for Nityanandha Trayodasi on the next day of dvadasi, ie, on 10.02.2025 as Total Fast between Sunrise and Noon taking nothing except water. After 12 noon, usual prasadam with grains can be taken. In brief, fast as usual on ekadasi. Then, fast for half day till 12 noon on 10,02.2025 for Nityananda Tryodasi.
