Green Drought: When Heavy Rainfall Still Leads to Crop Failure
In parts of Western India, excessive rainfall is damaging crops instead of nourishing them. This paradox, known as green drought, is disrupting traditional farming practices and food security.
Key Insight: More rain does not always mean more water security. Shifting hydrological extremes require adaptive agricultural policies and climate-resilient farming techniques.
