The experience that He is seated in the heart is corroborated by the scriptural utterances. Traditionally three levels of proof are respected as the authority-hearing (sruti); reasoning or discrimination (yukti) and experience (anubhuti). Firm faith that all these are true is required. Worldly attractions bind the jivas.
