So, About Satan… 👀 What if I told you that the “Satan” you’ve been taught to fear was never a red-skinned, horned demon plotting against you? What if this whole idea was just… a remix? Let’s take it back. ✨ The Word Itself “Satan” comes from an old Hebrew word, śāṭān (שָׂטָן), which simply meant “adversary” or “opposer.” It wasn’t a name. It wasn’t a person. It was a title—kind of like calling someone a challenger, not an actual villain. 🔥 The Job, Not the Man In the Book of Job, ha-satan (literally “the adversary”) was not some fallen angel—he was an agent working for God to test Job’s faith. That’s right. No rebellion, no underworld throne. Just a cosmic quality control agent. 📖 Where the Horns Came From The red demon we know today? That came much later, influenced by Greek mythology (think Hades), medieval propaganda, and Dante’s Inferno. By the time the church got done remixing the story, they had a perfect boogeyman. 💡 So, What’s the Truth? The idea of “Satan” evolved over time, shaped by culture, politics, and power. The more fear they could instill, the easier it was to control the masses. The real question is—who benefits from keeping this story alive? 🤔
