Emotions: your body's way of talking to your brain.
Emotions are sensations from the body that gives information to the brain that we give a feeling name to.
Emotions are stored in the body.
Essentially, emotions aren't just something we experience in our minds they also leave an imprint on our bodies. When we experience intense emotions like anger, grief, or fear, the body facts by releasing stress hormones and tensing up muscles, which over time can manifest add physical pain discomfort or even chronic illness.
Emotional blockages can create disruptions in the body's energy flow.
When we don't process our release emotions in a healthy way (FYI soothing is not healing) that can get "stuck" in the body creating physical tension or even contributing to conditions like headaches, digestive issues or back pain. For instance, unresolved grief might manifest as tightness in the chest of shoulders, and unexpressed anger could result in jaw clenching or neck pain.
