Cape Network Technician Position available immediately. 📍 Location: Paarl, Winelands Region, South Africa 🕒 Start Date: Immediate Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Network Technician to join our team in the Winelands area. The ideal candidate must have strong technical skills in networking, wireless networks, fibre installations, and high-site maintenance. They should also be comfortable working in the field, have experience in customer support, and be able to work independently in various environments, including off-road locations. Key Responsibilities ✅ Install, configure, and maintain MikroTik and Ubiquiti networking equipment. ✅ Conduct wireless network installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance. ✅ Perform fibre network installations and repairs. ✅ Install and maintain high sites for wireless connectivity. ✅ Diagnose and resolve network-related issues remotely and on-site. ✅ Work directly with clients to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity problems. ✅ Ensure compliance with safety and technical standards during installations. ✅ Maintain proper documentation of network infrastructure and service logs. ✅ Drive to customer sites, high sites, and remote locations for maintenance and repairs. Requirements 🔹 Valid driver’s license with experience driving off-road and in remote locations. 🔹 Minimum 2 years of experience in networking and IT fieldwork. 🔹 Proven experience with MikroTik, Ubiquiti, and general networking equipment. 🔹 Knowledge of wireless networks, fibre installs, and network infrastructure. 🔹 Experience with high-site maintenance and installations. 🔹 Ability to work independently and in a team. 🔹 Strong troubleshooting skills and client-facing experience. 🔹 Ability to start immediately.
