North West IT Support Tech Salary: R16,000-R18,000 Offices in Rustenburg Requirements: • Own vehicle (Maintenance plan/Fuel will be provided) • Valid driver's license Job Summary: The IT Support Tech is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our clients. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, maintaining IT systems, and ensuring smooth functioning for clients. The Onsite IT Support Tech plays a critical role in supporting our clients and meeting their IT needs. Key Responsibilities: 1. Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and support to clients, both remotely and in person, for hardware, software, and network issues. 2. Incident Management: Respond promptly to IT incidents reported by operations, resolving or escalating them as needed. 3. Hardware Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain desktops, servers, laptops, and mobile devices, peripherals, and other IT equipment. 4. Software Support: Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications. Assist with upgrades, patch management, and license management. 5. Network Connectivity: Ensure reliable and secure network connectivity. Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and collaborate with network administrators to resolve them. 6. Installation of network cables, setting up Vlans config switches. 7. Data Backup and Security: Implement data backup procedures and educate users on data security best practices. 8. Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, processes, and configurations. 9. Training and User Support: Conduct training sessions and provide user support on IT tools, applications, and systems. 10. IT Upgrades: Assist in evaluating and recommending new hardware, software, and technologies. Collaborate with IT teams to plan and execute technology upgrades. 11. Compliance: Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and regulations. Qualifications and Skills: • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or technical training is a plus • Afrikaans & English speaking is a must. • Proven experience in providing IT support. • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and networking concepts. • Strong knowledge with Office 365, wireless access points, Firewalls • Familiarity with laptop repairs, printers, and server knowledge. • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively. • Attention to detail. • Flexibility to travel and work onsite as required. • Understanding of data backup procedures and information security best practices. In house systems that you will be required to work with 1. Auto Task -Ticketing system 2. IT glue – Updating all clients information 3.
