The lunchtime rally begins at 12.30 Speeches at 1pm. We also encourage people to go inside and watch the hearing, in which case they should meet at the courts by 9.45am. PLEASE REGISTER ON THE EVENT PAGE SO WE HAVE AN IDEA HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE COMING *Background* Last July, Andrew Boswell took the government to court over the Secretary of State's decision to consent Net Zero Teesside Power (gas power with carbon capture and storage) despite the fact that the total emissions from the development would be totally incompatible with meeting the governments emissions reduction targets (see more details on the Event page). Andrew lost his case in July, but has been given leave to appeal as he has several clearly legally arguable grounds, and the appeal is scheduled for 4th and 5th March. We are seeking to build a huge rally outside the court on 4th March, to support Andrew and show the government that we reject policies that enable fossil fuel giants and the locking in of fossil fuel dependency in our energy system as we race towards climate catastrophe.
