Grey Siltstone Statue of Goddess Isis which her wings around God Osiris to protect him. The statue represents Isis wearing a modius cylindrical crown topped with the sun-disc and horns and Osiris is in a Mummified form and wearing the Atef Crown and false beard and holding the Crook and Flail. Along the top of Osiris’ plinth, a Inscription of Hieroglyphic Text including his Name and the name of Sheshonq, a male official and the dedicator of the monument. Dicovered in Karnak Temple Complex in Thebes, Egypt. Dates back to the 26th Dynasty, The Late Period (590-530 BC). Displayed in the British Museum in London, England. #thebritishmuseum
