First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa Leads Angel of Hope Outreach Program in Masvingo *By Tafara Pande*🇿🇼 On February 12, 2025, First Lady Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa led her Angel of Hope Foundation to Masvingo Province for a comprehensive two-day medical outreach program. The initiative provided free health services, including screenings for cervical, breast, and prostate cancers, as well as checks for hypertension, diabetes, and other non-communicable diseases. The program concluded successfully on February 13, 2025. The Masvingo Showground arena witnessed a significant turnout, with hundreds of residents availing themselves of the health services. Many attendees expressed gratitude towards the First Lady, appreciating her inclusive approach and dedication to community health. Such initiatives align with Zimbabwe's Vision 2030, aiming for a healthy and prosperous society. In addition to cancer screenings, the outreach offered eye clinic services, addressing a critical need given the high costs associated with eye care. By bringing these services directly to the community, the First Lady has made essential health care more accessible, marking a positive change for the residents of Masvingo Province. This recent outreach is part of a broader series of health programs led by Dr. Mnangagwa. Earlier in February 2025, she conducted similar medical and wellness programs in Gokwe, providing free health checks and donating medical equipment to local clinics. These efforts underscore her commitment to improving health care access across Zimbabwe.
