Elihu argues that Job’s suffering is an opportunity for Job to hear God speaking to him, to turn from wickedness, and find God’s deliverance. Elihu warns Job that if Job keeps worrying about the fate of the wicked, Job might go too far down the path of wickedness and miss God’s deliverance altogether. Since we are called to fullness and eternal life, it is crucial that we turn from the ways of the world and turn to God. No matter what challenge we face, know that God is saying something. Whatever suffering you are going through? Is it sickness, disappointments, setbacks, poverty, or marital challenges? It may be to preserve you and turn you away from destruction. We should humble ourselves in prayer and seek God.
