We have heard and read the story of the Israelites who were enslaved and faced oppression, but still God intervened and promised to deliver his people. He declared, 'I have seen your hardships and have come down to deliver you' (Exodus 6:6). As Christians, we are being taught God's sovereignty and control over events. Despite the suffering, oppression, injustice you might face, bear in mind that God is not powerless, he has a plan and a purpose for every challenge you are facing today and has a purpose to deliver you and will bring you to a place of freedom and joy. Furthermore, be encouraged that God's promise of deliverance to us is a testament to his faithfulness. Even when we are disobedient and we have hardened our hearts like the Israelites did, God has remained faithful to his promise, and he will never abandon us or allow our disobedience to thwart his plan. As believers, let's take comfort in God's sovereignty and deliverance, for we know that He is in control of all things and that he has a plan for our lives.
